This book presents a rich content with situations and practices in different countries related to strengthening the social skills of gifted students in the context of inclusive education. This book, which is aimed to be a source for such an important subject; has been prepared for the benefit of gifted students and their parents, teachers of gifted students, classroom teachers, teacher candidates, school administrators, researchers interested in the subject, and policy makers.
The book consists of seven chapters. In the first part, inclusive education, in the second part, social skills concepts, in the third part, the relationship between social skills, gifted students and sports are given in detail. In other sections, Turkish, Polish and Portuguese education systems are mentioned. Recommendations are presented to policy makers and practitioners in these countries regarding inclusive education, social skills education, education of gifted students, and development of social skills of gifted students.
The chapters of the book were written by researchers who came together thanks to the European Union Erasmus+ (KA201-093617) project. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the authors for their devoted and meticulous work in the production of this book.
