Ahsen Yüksek, Atilla Karataş, Hasan Özdemir, Hülya Caner, Hüseyin Turoğlu, Nurten Günal, T. Ahmet Ertek, Zahide Acar Deniz If it is necessary to define an "environment" within the general framework of the concept of geography, the environments in which living and non-living beings coexist, in communication with each other in the form of energy and matter exchange, and the distribution of these environments on the earth should come to mind.
The issue of what the basic starting point should be in human-environment or human-environment interaction is a matter of debate even today. Because today, human beings can change the physical characteristics of the environment in which they live, in line with their own interests. When necessary, hills and river valleys can be destroyed in order to open up residential areas, or by removing the natural surface cover (such as cutting forests, creating large water bodies by building dams), the energy exchange between the earth and the atmosphere, and thus the local climate, is changed.
Although humans cause some environmental changes by changing the surface in local areas, the factors that determine the boundaries of settlement and human activities are physical geography elements. Large water bodies such as oceans and seas, the upper parts of the mountains after a certain level (may vary depending on geographical latitude), desert areas are the main limiting factors, but rivers and seasides and areas with fertile plains have been the general centers of attraction.
Geography has developed its own schools over these concepts. Geographers, who took part in the movement that emerged in the 1850s, developed "environmental determinism" based on the interpretation that human activities are affected by physical geography elements, in other words, the physical environment or environment shapes man. On the other hand, in the following years, the interpretation of "possibilism", in which it is argued that people can determine how the opportunities offered by the environment to people, will be used, has been developed.
In this book, the general structure and characteristics of all the basic components that make up our world, mountains, plains, plateaus, oceans and seas, and undoubtedly the atmosphere, which we define as the environment, space or earth, which are the basis of these discussions, and their interactions with each other, are discussed in a clear and understandable language. has been written.
Ali Ekber Gülersoy, Atilla Karataş, Hilmi Demirkaya, Mehmet Akif Ceylan, Mustafa Girgin, Mustafa Sağdıç, Selahi Coşkun, Süleyman Elmacı General Physical Geography has been prepared as a textbook for the students of the social studies, geography and classroom teaching programs of the universities and the geography department. The scope of the book is arranged in accordance with the curriculum of the General Physical Geography course accepted by the Council of Higher Education. In addition, the unique science systematic of geography was taken into account in determining the content of the book. The science of geography, which is described as the synthesis and mother of all sciences, consists of two main branches of science, physical and human geography. Therefore, this book covers the basic issues of geography directly related to space (earth) and contributes to our better understanding of the natural structure and interactions of the world we live in.
The book is divided into eight chapters and numerous subheadings. In the first part, the definition, subject, development and scientific identity of geography; in the second part, the Universe, the Solar System and the Earth; in the third part, the formation of the earth, the factors affecting this process and the main topographies; The fourth chapter focuses on climate science, Earth's atmosphere and climate system. In the fifth chapter, water geography, distribution, characteristics and effects of underground and surface waters; in the sixth chapter, the formation of soil, its types, distribution and soil problems; In the seventh chapter, the classification of plants, the conditions of their habitats and their distribution on the earth are discussed. In the eighth and final chapter, various topics of map knowledge are covered in detail; maps, graphs, diagrams and geographic information systems have been touched upon.
The topics covered in the book are explained in a simple and understandable language. In order to better understand the subjects, efforts have been made to provide visual materials such as a large number of figures, maps, photographs, graphics, and tables, as well as reading passages, notes, warnings, etc.

Ömer Ertürk, Sinem Aydın, Ülkü Karaman, Duygu Odabaş Alver Microbiology has become an important and interesting field for beginners. While learning the content and concepts of basic microbiology, many questions are asked: How do I learn the names of all these microorganisms? What infection does bacteria, virus or fungus cause and which diseases do they cause? How are these diseases treated? In this book, comprehensive information is presented about the information that a student or an academician interested in the field of microbiology is curious about in the field of microbiology. The basic concepts of General and Molecular Microbiology have been tried to be presented in a clear and concise manner that will appeal to students studying in different health fields and academicians interested in microbiology. The topics are written in a plain language, with uncomplicated explanations for difficult concepts. The topics were summarized through tables and figures rather than a long text, and colorful visuals were included for students. In particular, the important points in the reviews were highlighted in the boxes to help the students, and the study questions were prepared to address the relevant aspects of each subject, including clinical cases, and each section was prepared with current developments and information on microbiology. The book starts with a general introduction to microbiology and continues with chapters where general microbiology issues are discussed in detail. All microorganisms are given individually under sections. The sections on bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites are neatly arranged. Each chapter is presented in color to excite those interested in microbiology and engage them while teaching new information. The book will also be useful in the laboratory applications of the subjects that form the basis of microbiology in the faculties of science, education faculties, medical faculties and dentistry faculties.
Selma Güven, Nükhet N. Demirel Zorba The first edition of our book, of which we have made the 12th edition, was made in 2003 under the title of "General Microbiology". It includes topics such as the morphology, cell structures, development, reproduction, ecology, hereditary changes, classification of microorganisms and consists of 10 chapters. In the 2 (2007), 3 (2011), 4 (2013), 5 (February 2015), 6 (November 2015) editions of the book, tools and equipment used in the microbiology laboratory, aseptic technique, sterilization, microscope types, staining methods, pure culture techniques Laboratory applications such as , media, counting methods are also included. Thus, the book consisting of 24 chapters was named as “General Microbiology and Laboratory Guide”.
In each renewed edition, new sources on the subject were scanned and important information was added. In the 4th edition made in 2013, no significant changes were made in the subject headings except for the additional titles of the structure and functions of nucleic acids (3.2.8.1.) and general and current summary information about antibiotics (5.5.). However, in the 5th edition, the subsection on the structure-functions of nucleic acids (3.2.8.1.) was taken to the 9th section and the name of this section was changed to "genetics of microorganisms and hereditary change". In the 9th edition, additions were made to the 10th chapter. In the 10th and 11th editions, some grammatical errors were corrected and in the last edition the importance of microbiology was added.
Our aim is to present a book on General Microbiology to the students of the Food Engineering Department of the faculties of Engineering and Agriculture and to the students of other departments studying General Microbiology at Universities. Of course, we will be proud that everyone who is interested in the subject will benefit from our book.
We are happy to be able to make the tenth edition of our book, which is popularly read in the relevant departments of both our universities and vocational schools.
Abdurrahman Aktümsek An effort has been made to prepare a textbook covering the latest developments in zoology for students studying biology and taking zoology courses in different faculties. A large number of figures and pictures are presented for better understanding and reinforcement of the subjects.
Mehmet Topaktaş Genetics is the science that studies heredity and heredity in living things. In the science of genetics, besides the classic subjects such as Mendel's Studies, there are also rapidly changing fields, such as in the field of Molecular Genetics. The main thing in a genetics book is to provide the latest information in rapidly changing fields along with classical subjects. In addition, the author should reflect his own views on the book after synthesizing the acquired knowledge. For these reasons, I wanted this book to include not only the topics that I teach my students during limited class hours, but also all the basic topics that should be in a genetics book. That's what I tried to do while writing this book. For this reason, it took many years to write the book, and as a result, this work emerged. I hope that my book will add new richness to the knowledge of the target audience.
Target audience for this book:
• Scientists working in the field of genetics,
• Research assistants working on a postgraduate thesis in the field of genetics and students working on a postgraduate thesis,
• Students of the Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics Departments of the Faculties of Science and Letters, the Science and Biology Teaching departments of the Faculties of Agriculture, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Faculties, Education Faculties,
• Biology teachers of high schools and science teachers of primary schools and
• People from all walks of life who are interested in genetics.
The fact that the book reaches its goal will make me forget all my tiredness.
Nilüfer VOLTAN ACAR A work that is both a textbook and a personal development book, in which the concepts of Gestalt therapy are explained with figures, the adaptation of Gestalt therapy to Turkish culture, and examples of Gestalt therapy are given.
“How Aware of Gestalt Therapy Am I?” a work embellished with poems emphasizing awareness, poles, unfinished works, anxiety, living in the moment.
Nihat Yazılıtaş The earliest known traveler is Strabo (64 BC - 24 AD) who was a Greek historian, geographer and philosopher. After Strabo, many travelers have traveled the world and described the places they have visited in their travel books. In these works, they talked about the geography of the places they went, the lifestyles of the people living there, their cultures, marital status, beliefs, architectural structures, commercial life, extraordinary events told there, stories, legends and many more. In this context, travel books are extremely important sources in terms of history, especially in terms of cultural history.
Every traveler sets out on his journey with his own beliefs and acceptances imposed on him by the cultural environment in which he grew up. He evaluates what he sees accordingly. Therefore, in this study, it has been tried to choose travelers from different cultures and belief circles while determining the travel books. Thus, the Sunni Muslim Ibn Khazar from Iraq (IX. century), the Shiite Muslim Nasser-i Husrev (XI. century) from Iran, the Jew Benjamin from Spain and the German Jew Petachia (XII. century), again from Spain Sunni Muslim al-Gırnati (XII. century) from Italy, Christian Marco Polo (XIII. century) from Italy, Christian missionary Wilhelm Von Rubruk from France (XIII. century), Sunni Muslim Ibn Battuta from Morocco ( XIV. century) and finally Christian Johannes Schiltberger (XIV-XV. century) from Germany were included in this study. Thus, we have brought together fantastic stories, some of which are real, but most of them are too extraordinary to be true, from the eyes of these travelers who visited the three continents of the Middle Ages and came from different faiths and cultures in their own time, and presented them to the reader. When readers start to read these fantastic stories, they will see the similarities between the subjects of fantastic stories, novels, TV series and movies that have increased in popularity today, and how the medieval narratives have sourced these modern studies.
Abbas Türnüklü, Aysun Doğan, Demet Vural Yüzbaşı, Derya Göğebakan Yıldız, Dilek Yelda Kağnıcı, Ece Önder, F. Cansu Pala, Filiz Künüroğlu, Özlem Karaırmak, Sabahat Çiğdem Bağcı The aim of this book is to examine the positive practices and interventions in schools that are especially culturally sensitive and adopt multicultural education, by considering the migration experiences of children and adolescents in different contexts such as family, peers and school. Nilüfer Voltan Acar, İlhan Yalçın, Volkan Avşar, Begüm Serim-Yıldız, Zeynep Erkan Atik, Emre Umucu Looking at the Principles and Techniques of Group Counseling, the first edition of which was published in 1995, it can be understood that a long way has been achieved.
The book includes examples of psychological counseling sessions with dozens of groups that I led in my thirty-eight years of professional life. It is thought that these examples will make it easier to understand what is being said. Another difference was the decoration of this enhanced press with pictures. While planning the content of the Principles and Techniques of Group Counseling, groups based on the learning model were taken as the basis. For this reason, the concepts of client and counselor were used. However, in matters of transference and resistance, the concept of “patient” has been included, especially when referring to other sources.
The book began with an overview of Group Counseling, with particular emphasis on group guidance and group counselling; because, unfortunately, even those from the field often confuse these two concepts. While their job was group guidance, "I did group counselling." They say that and even name their thesis that way. By focusing on some of the concepts mentioned in the book, then the issue of what kind of training a "psychological counselor" should receive in order to be able to do group counseling is discussed. The characteristics of the counseling group, therapeutic forces, phases of the group, goals, resistance and transference are also discussed in detail. In addition, the focus is on exercises and their place in group counseling, clients with difficulties and ways of coping with these clients. In this edition (in press), the concept of co-leader is emphasized. A synthesis was also made on Therapeutic Work Adaptation, and the place of therapeutic powers in work harmony was emphasized. In the section of clients with emotional difficulties, internet (virtual) addiction and ways of coping are mentioned. The comparison of group counseling and individual counseling is presented in a table. Since this book is a print, not a print, it is not much different from the previous edition.
Beyza Kırca, Halil Ekşi, Kübra Kaplaner, Osman Hatun, Serra Dinç Counseling with groups encourages clients to help each other, encourages cooperation, guides them to take steps in problem solving, provides opportunities for them to experience new and different experiences in relationships, and is intended for the continuous development of both the individual and the group to be monitored by the counselor and used effectively. It is a dynamic process that provides the necessary resources. Group counseling is a powerful and effective therapeutic process that supports the mental health and psychological well-being of clients.
In terms of psychological well-being and mental health, it is extremely important for people to know their own self and become free. Self-knowledge and liberation can only be possible when the physical/biological existence of man meets and integrates with his spirituality. Spirituality cannot be thought of independently of meaning in life. Victor Frankl states that the search for meaning is innate and is a natural and healthy motive of human life.
The main purpose of this book is to accompany people in their journey of self-discovery and self-realization by supporting their spiritual development. In this book in your hand, spiritually oriented group counseling practices for adolescents, youth and adults are included. In the book, examples of how counseling approaches such as Logotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Positive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Awareness Therapy, and Art Therapy can be handled from a psychospiritual perspective are presented. We hope that our book will make valuable contributions to mental health professionals, to those who want to increase their psychological well-being and support their spiritual development.
Nilüfer Voltan Acar This book, which deals with research and experiments, which are the "ceremonial games" of the psychological counseling process, is a useful practitioner for those working in the field. The author, who has an MSW degree in Personal Work and Marriage Family Counseling and is a Gestalt therapist, presents most of the experiments to the reader with the understanding of Gestalt therapy. The book details the exercises developed by both the author and valuable names in the field with facilitating pictures and encourages the group leaders to be creative.
Abdullah Akat, Abonoz Küçük, Ahmet Keskin, Berna Ayaz, Hamiyet Özen, Mehmet Aça, Mehmet Ali Yolcu, Mehmet Çeribaş, Mustafa Aça, Mustafa Dinç, Ülkü Kara Folklore, whose foundations were laid in Western Europe, has tended to spread to Western Asia, the Mediterranean basin and North America since the beginning of the 20th century. The beginning of Anatolian-centered Turkish folklore studies is also dated to this period. Turkish folklore, advancing towards a scientific formation with the pioneering works of Turkist intellectuals, has shown a rapid development in the context of the cultural policies of the Republic of Turkey. The fact that folklore studies have started to be carried out in an institutional framework has brought about the representation of this new branch of knowledge in our academy. Many scientists have provided unforgettable services in the progress of this process, which dates back to the 1960s, and in understanding the importance of folklore in cultural sciences.
folklore; In addition to becoming an undergraduate and graduate level department in the "Turkish Language and Literature" departments of the academies, the need for teaching materials has increased day by day with the opening of the "Folklore" departments, which aim to train experts in the field of folklore. The need for resources where different perspectives and innovative views are put forward has been tried to be met with various studies. The Folklore Handbook has been prepared to add a new one to these studies. In this book, which aims to be a source for the departments of our academy such as Turkish Language and Literature, Folklore, Anthropology, Musicology, Architecture, Art History, Handicrafts at undergraduate and graduate level, almost all subjects within the scope of folklore have been evaluated by academics who are experts in their fields, considering their functionality.
Abuzer Gündüz Ring Theory is a theory that is taught in the undergraduate courses of our universities and contains the basic tools of algebraic geometry in general. Its main motivation is to be able to do arithmetic with integers in new ring classes. In this respect, it relies entirely on the ability to think abstractly. Naming things and establishing relationships between them is the starting point of this process. The possibilities these new structures offer us are quite surprising.
In this book, we tried to present the first seven chapters taught at the undergraduate level in as much detail as possible, with clear proofs and solved questions. Secondly, we have written the last four chapters for undergraduate and graduate students who want to do research on these topics. Our main goal is to get them to the level where they can read articles on this subject.
We hope that the reader will develop reasoning skills and acquire the habit of proving by trying to solve the solved questions and the end-of-chapter questions.
Hope the book will be useful to all readers...
Üzeyir Ok, Zümrüt Gedik, Zehra Erşahin Spiritual care and counseling, which is one of the application areas of the psychology of religion, has a strong potential in human service in different conditions. Religions and spiritual traditions; It is known that they have important roles in coping with the difficulties of life, making sense of life, feeling belonging to a social group, creating an identity and choosing a healthy life for people who belong to them. On the other hand, helping and caring for people living in difficult conditions is a universal human instinct. Helping gratuitously on a voluntary basis is seen as a virtue in almost all life philosophies and religious-spiritual traditions.
In Turkey, studies in the field of spiritual care and counseling, which bring together humanitarian service and religion-spiritualism, have gained momentum in the last 10 years. However, there are very few studies that deal with the subject holistically and in depth and emphasize the scientific basis. This book on spiritual care for the sick in hospitals intends to take existing studies a step further, both in terms of providing an empirical basis and in terms of being dedicated to a particular field.
After explaining the effect of spirituality on human mental and physical health in detail in the book, the spiritual care needs of the patients were compared with the non-sick groups in the study, and the perception levels of the religious officials who still practice spiritual care, their competencies, personality dimensions and field experiences that are effective in their competencies are discussed in depth. In addition to these, in this book, a hospital spiritual care study model has been tried to be created in line with the empirical findings and literature knowledge.
Şahin Kesici, Mehmet Ak, Elif Subaşı, Hatice İrem Özteke Kozan Man comes to the world, which is expatriate, on a gradual journey. The soul first becomes a guest in the mother's womb, which is a safer, warmer and more peaceful home than the world. Then the world life, which is the difficult journey of the expat life, begins. It is an unforgettable but secret love, the destination and the safe first stop. Sometimes knowingly, sometimes unconsciously, the search continues. As humans grow, they no longer fit in the nest they grew up in, like birds and other creatures. They have to build a home themselves. They model what they learned in the previous slot, creating similar slots. Some will be successful, some will not. For real peace and happiness, a home to go after a certain age is indispensable. Home is a place where people feel safe and rest when they enter. To leave the turmoil of the outer world in front of the door, to remove everything from the body; And feeling the peace, warmth, serenity, trust and belonging from the soul is only possible with a home. But unfortunately, it seems like it has become difficult to build a home and be at peace in the home nowadays. Self-centredness gripped our souls, we became slaves of capitalism. We searched for that warm home in temporary accommodation. Especially as you get older, you will see that no matter what you have, if there is no home, you will be missing. You can't find the feeling of children in a peaceful house, the physical and spiritual pleasure of two married lovers, the peace of being together in anything else and it will always be missing.
This book; It has been prepared to convey to couples what they should and should not do for a happy marriage and a peaceful home, based on lived stories, the psychological and physiological needs of couples in their married life, a healthy communication and sexual life. We wish our book to be a guide for you to be informed in order to be a companion on the path of life.

Kaan Zülfikar Deniz Although statistics is a very easy field to learn, the learner's own affective barriers can prevent learning. When we look at those who have problems in learning statistics, it is seen that most of these individuals have had negative experiences in numerical or statistics courses in the past.
This work, named Statistical, provides a practical learning resource for researchers, academicians and students working in both social sciences and other fields of science, without overwhelming the learner with statistical formulas. A self-resource has been created for all the information needed for introduction to statistics and the application of fundamental analysis.
The first part of the book has a structure that is explained simply and reinforced with real-life examples. The statistical information in the first part forms the basis of the subjects in the second part. In the second part, the introduction of the SPSS program, the explanation for all statistical analysis, the visual processing steps of the SPSS application of the relevant subject, the introduction of the SPSS results, the tabulation and interpretation parts in accordance with the APA format, which is frequently used in social sciences. In addition to these, the most common mistakes in the relevant statistics at the end of each topic and the special situations that the researcher may encounter and the solution proposals, which consist of their solution suggestions, are in the nature of answers to the questions that most researchers cannot find answers to. The book aims to provide permanent learning as a whole and systematically.
Ayla Öber, Gamze Turgay İzzetoğlu The subjects included in molecular biology, cell biology and histology branches have priority in understanding the lessons taken during biology education. Histology, which is the science of tissue, examines the tissues formed as a result of the coming together of similar cells to undertake a certain function, using many different methods.
In this book; First of all, important ways of working for the subject, a brief reminder about the cell, and the formation, classification and briefly functioning of basic tissues such as epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue that cells are structured are discussed. It also focuses on how the basic tissues come together and the organs they form and the emerging systems; Diseases to be associated with each tissue and system are given for general information purposes.
At the end of the book, there is a glossary of words from the book that are not explained in the topic.
Mesut Hakkı Caşın No war can be understood independently of the multi-layered accumulation of historical, political, ethnic, religious, economic, cultural and commercial interests that prepared it.
In this context, this work named World War II; While pursuing to bring to light the intertwined and complex causes of the Second World War that are beyond the visible, it also examines the background of the effect of economic and political crises on the strengthening of totalitarian regimes, together with its intricate causes.
In addition, while reconsidering the causes and consequences of the Second World War, as the bloodiest conflict of the twentieth century, eighty years later, it also sheds light on its complex connection with the problems eighty years later, enabling us to understand the hot and cold war potential of power relations in today's world.
The thousands of documented photographs included in the book, on the other hand, will memorize both the tools and ammunition of the war, as well as the horror and destructiveness of the war, as a documentary film.
Demet Gürüz, Ayşen Temel Eğinli Communication is something we cannot give up in order to understand, to explain, or to agree… A cycle that we cannot escape from, continuing and responding to what we understand, what we say, and our agreements… An escalator that goes and comes continuously from us to us, from us to you, from you to us, in short from person to person… A cornerstone of life. Contact…
It is a book that guides all individuals in the society these days when we complain about lack of communication and realize that communication is important... While it contributes to learning what communication skills are, it also sheds light on people's ability to see where they make mistakes... It answers the following questions that come to mind:
They don't understand me, I can't explain myself, what should I do?
I think I empathize, or am I not?
There is a constant conflict between us, how can I resolve it?
I'm unsuccessful in group work, why can't I express myself?
I can't convince… How can I do it?
Communication in the family is broken… Why?
My communication with my friends is very bad at my workplace, how can it be improved?
Am I a good listener?
Aysel Aziz Communication is a long process that started with the existence of human beings in the world, has survived to the present day and will continue in our future.
It is clear that it would be so difficult to explain a subject with such wide borders in the numbered pages of a book! However, by placing certain limitations, important parts of this long adventure were taken and tried to be conveyed to the reader within the framework of the introduction.
Starting from the definition of communication within this kind of limitation, after general information about communication such as its process, relationship with other disciplines, communication types, functions and models, interpersonal communication, mass communication and mass media, news agencies, historical communication and mass communication in Turkey. development, organizational communication, internet and social media. In the last two chapters of the book, the effects of communication on society and communication researches are discussed.
Each of these introductory information; It is researched, analyzed and published under separate headings by other academics, authors and researchers. The aim of this book, titled "Introduction to Communication", is to give general information about such studies as preliminary, and to direct those who want to deepen in their subjects to such studies.

The book covers a wide historical period in chronological terms. In this process, the emergence of Islam, the acceptance of the religion of Islam by the Turks, the establishment of Muslim Turkish states and their dominance in the Islamic world; In addition, the organization, culture and civilization issues of these states were discussed. Thus, on the one hand, the political, social and cultural issues that developed in the history of Islam; On the other hand, the politics, organization, culture and civilization of the first Muslim Turkish states were discussed. The topics in the book are written in an original approach and academic style. The First History of Turkish-Islamic States book, prepared with the contribution of many academicians who are experts in their fields, is also a textbook for universities.
Gönül BUDAK, Gülay BUDAK It would not be wrong to call the age of communication, where social media, virtual networks and mass communication advance with giant strides, as the age of image.
The importance of image structuring at individual, organizational and national levels is related to the fact that the image is a phenomenon that can be established and managed. Image studies are at the focal point of public relations. All other work is shaped around this focal point. For this reason, characterizing the activities carried out to create an image as public relations will be insufficient in naming the activities carried out. It would be more correct to say "Image Engineering" instead.
Within the framework of the SA 8000 Social Responsibility standard determined in 1997, businesses have started to contribute to the fields of Social Entrepreneurship, which also aims to create a positive image by proving to their target audience that they work with a "win-win" mentality and to provide a sustainable contribution to the welfare of the society by supporting disadvantaged people within the scope of their social responsibilities.
The target audiences defined within the scope of public relations are quite broad. It starts from within the business, from the employees, customers, potential customers, competitors, government, etc. It extends to many popular communities at the national and international level. One of the most important tools in reaching large masses of people; media, the other is the virtual environment. Thanks to virtual networks and social media, the business has been able to have the freedom to manage its own news. Moreover, it has become easier to manage the image of the enterprise, which can be edited 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can shape the desired visuality and content at any time in an extremely dynamic environment. However, considering how fast the spread of information as well as its creation can be in the age of communication, it should be accepted that the preservation of the image has become more difficult than before.
The importance of public relations activities is gradually increasing due to the search for answers on how to protect the image as well as how to structure the image in the desired direction.

Bülent Yılmaz This course book has been prepared on the basis of the content of the courses taught under the name of Statistics, General Statistics and Introduction to Statistics in Education Faculties, Science and Literature Faculties and Vocational Schools (Health Vocational Schools).
In the first chapter, the concepts of statistics and graphics, series and frequency curves are emphasized. In the next chapters, probability and probability function, expected values and moments, distribution theory, correlation and regression are studied with extensive examples.
Arif Sabuncuoğlu This book, which is the first of two volumes prepared for the general mathematics courses taught in the Business Administration and Economics Departments of our universities, has plenty of questions with solutions at the end of each section. The solution to each problem is explained broadly and clearly. Even if proofs of some theorems are not given while the subjects are being treated, it has been tried to geometrically imply why they are so. Most of the theorems and fundamental formulas have been proved.
There are enough examples in the book to explain the theorems and basic information. While introducing a new concept, the relation of this concept with previous concepts was established, and it was tried for our students to learn by understanding that information in the easiest way.

Can Aydın Today, with the rapid rise of information and communication technologies, we see that information systems are used in almost every field. Businesses are also taking steps to produce these systems instead of just using information systems in their business processes. Programming skills are vital in taking these steps. While data analysis and artificial intelligence studies have been used in the solution of many business problems by leaving the theoretical environment in recent years, it has become compulsory for students studying in the field of social sciences, especially in the departments of business, economics, finance and management information systems, to take programming education in order to keep up with the developing conditions and to solve their current problems.
In the rapidly developing technology world, the realization of a software idea that comes to your mind is limited to 30 days. In other words, it is necessary not only to think of the idea, but also to implement it quickly. This book provides easy and fast programming education to students in the field of social sciences, explaining the solution of business problems with examples, and enables the development of a wide range of applications from web page design to data analysis, from machine learning to deep learning, which are the usage areas of Python programming language. Even someone who has no programming education, to develop an application using the Python language, it is enough to learn the theoretical information in this book and repeat the applications.
Kasım Hakan Emanetoğlu This book was written not to put children to sleep, but to awaken both the reader and the listener. Every sentence you will find in the book has been chosen to either increase your awareness of the problem you are facing or to activate your child's self-capacity to cope with this problem. The metaphors used in the stories are the manifestation of the unconscious. It is aimed to reveal the self-healing power of the psyche with cognitive interventions interspersed among the stories, such as the healing of a wound in your body with a great effort, spontaneously but without your knowledge. In this way, it is expected that the metaphorical stories will create strong bridges between thought and emotion and change the perspective of the reader and the listener.

“In this book, you will not only find stories that are written in a fluid, intelligent and creative language and that are enjoyable to read, but also gain scientific knowledge about the topics of these stories, and you will better understand these difficulties that children frequently encounter. You will also reach basic information such as how to create healing stories in these difficult situations and how to use metaphors in them. I believe that this book will be read in one breath with Hakan's written language that I admire, and that it will be announced as a bedside book by every adult, from parents to teachers and experts, who are together with the child. “

In this book, Jamovi, one of the open source and free software that can be used in data analysis, is introduced and sample data analyzes are carried out.
In the book, respectively; Introducing Jamovi, descriptive statistics, comparison of sample means, correlation, regression, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, mediation and regulatory analysis, effect size and power analysis, Rasch model and changing item functions in the context of item response theory with examples. explained practically. Our readers can access the data sets used in the sample applications with the QR code given in the foreword. It is thought that repeating the process steps described in the book over these shared data sets is important in increasing the permanence of learning.
Easy Statistics with Jamovi book; It is expected to guide researchers working in the field of social sciences, undergraduate and graduate students in performing their analyzes easily and without making scientific mistakes.

First we set our goal. Our goal is; so that a researcher can learn to do his own analysis in an enjoyable way. In order to achieve our goal, we had to provide the information that the researcher might need while analyzing, in a plain and fluent language without entering into discussions. For each analysis, we created a research story. We wanted to immerse the reader in the story by staying away from a cold or unpleasant academic language. We tied the story to a research question. We made our readers feel that statistics is a tool to satisfy their curiosity. Afterwards, we explained all the steps of the relevant analysis with screenshots in Jamovi. We could have stopped at this point, but the researcher's need did not end there. How would the analysis results be reported? In order to meet this need, we first explained how to write an academic report after each analysis. Afterwards, we completed the study by showing how to report the results of the analysis in everyday language for practitioners.
We think that this book will contribute especially to social scientists who will just start statistical analysis. With this intention, each of our writers showed special sensitivity to their own section. They were patient with the feedback we gave and re-edited their sections to increase clarity. In addition, we gave our readers the opportunity to access the data sets in digital environment so that they can repeat the analyzes they learned in all sections. The Jamovi team has done its part to show that statistics is a pleasant world; We tried to do our part with the same motivation.
We hope that this book, which we have prepared in order to contribute to the research journey of new researchers and to make the analysis process enjoyable, will lead to many researches...

The human element of the social structure consisting of men and women differs from society to society according to the position of these two sexes in the structure. The position of women and men in society is one of the most important factors in determining the place of that society in other societies.
The meanings ascribed to women and men by society differentiate and differentiate the contributions of the sexes to social life, even by drawing sharp boundaries, sometimes visible and sometimes invisible barriers/prohibitions. This situation; It affects every aspect of the social structure, from family life regulated by gender to individual relations, from business life to educational status.
The cultural rituals, which constitute the main source of the differences in the social roles of these two sexes, in which the existence of one is not possible without the other, has sometimes brought the woman to the fore, sometimes the man, to the point of dominating the other and even depriving him of all kinds of rights. This deprivation and domination has been mostly in favor of men in the history of humanity, and women have been pushed into the secondary plan by being overshadowed by men in almost every era and society.

Rengin Karaca The main purpose of this book is to bring an understandable view on the development of personality and the ability to balance between instincts and the real world, that is, to establish a balance between giving and receiving, to have a healthy ego, to find the real "me" within, and to achieve harmony.
Our personality, our inner world; we liken it to the sea and space. No matter how deep we try and analyze, it is not possible for us to fully understand and analyze it. Personality; our thoughts, speech, and how we act. Our personality is responsible for our harmony with the environment. Our characteristics, impulses, habits, attitudes and attitudes, moral characteristics, social relations are a skill of our personality. There are many factors that shape human nature. These include the forces of our inner world, spiritual forces, the effects of the outer world, and the conditioning of our environment. By addressing all these in this book, we wanted to make a small contribution to the journey from the problematic world inside and outside of us to a better world.
In the light of all these things; the development adventure of human since birth, the characteristics of the period, the strengths, conflicts, defenses, ways of coping, emotions, behavior, the underlying causes of the behavior, the problems experienced, the parent-child relationship and parental effects, the ways of having a healthy personality and being a healthy parent; the formation of our sexual role, identity and sexual identity; We tried to convey the models of anxiety we experience, the effects of society on people and their lifestyles, the violence experienced today, the relationship between maturation and the values we have, and the interaction of us middle-aged and young people. I explained the reasons for these and how they occur so that they can be prevented and changed. Apart from all these, we tried to explain in detail a new acceptable model of "normal" personality in the field of psychology, namely Steven Reiss's understanding of "Normal Personality".
